2012

Pat Davids here wishing everyone a Happy New Year. I've never been so glad to put any year behind me as I was to 2011.

So, are you making New Year resolution? I'm not. I've decided not to do that anymore. I used to be an avid list maker. I'd plan the steps I needed to accomplish my goals. Some I did manage to make. Others, like regular exercise, went by the wayside before the first week was over.

So this year I've decided I'm not making resolutions. If I eat better, great. If I exercise more, terrific. If I write lots of words, paragraphs and pages, I'll finish a few more books. I will not resolve to do, I will just do.

That's my secret to writing three books a year.

First, I LOVE the title of your blog! It sounds like a movie title. :)

Second, I LOVE your philosophy for the year. (You didn't know it was a philosophy, did you? Ha!)

You are my hero. ;)

Rox,
I didn't know I had a philosophy. I feel smarter already. Thank you.
The truth is that last year started out on such a high note for me career wise and ended in the personal toilet, so I'm scared to hope or plan or dream about what a good year this could be. I'm just going to keep my head down and take it one day at a time.

I don't blame you, Pat. I don't think anyone could have come out of a year like you had and not be shell-shocked.

One day a time is a good way to go. In time, that hoping and planning and dreaming will return. Until then, be gentle with yourself.

What does it say about your determination when you had such a crappy year and still accomplished so much?

You are an inspiration to the rest of us! Thank you for that! xoxo

I have a philosophy and determination? Who knew? I thought life was dragging me along by the seat of my pants backward through a cornfield.

Well, that, too. But don't look a gift horse in the mouth. Especially when it's dragging you through a cornfield. ;)

Philosophy? Determination? Yup, you have it. Must have come in the big box of Cracker Jacks....

You always inspire me.
