Merry Christmas Eve! I thought I
would share my library Christmas tree with all of you. It’s a tree I have been dying to create for a
while and it’s still a work in progress.
I designed the base out of necessity.
The original one was too small for the heaviness of the tree. The two books are fake paper mache books I
painted and stuck the base inside.

Your library tree is adorable. Thanks for sharing the pictures. If I would add an ornament for my favorite stories it would have to be a carousel horse to represent all the horse stories I loved as a kid like the Black Stallion, Black Beauty and other.
I thought I commented on this, but I guess that's what I get for thinking.
What a "novel" idea, Melissa! I love it! My youngest daughter made a miniature (about an inch tall) of each of her sisters' favorite book, then attached it to a cord to make a necklace. She also has something special for me, but I'll wait to share it when it's finished. She also made larger miniatures of books (about 2 inches high) to hang on the tree next year. We took the tree down this year after the 4-year-old granddaughter kept removing the decorations. :(
Melissa, thanks for sharing this wonderful idea. It makes me want to develop a tree for my favorites to read as well as what I've written.
