I thought a bit more and remembered something important. It was screamingly important at the time. I got together with my husband because he lets me be me. Now, 28 years later it is equally important, but I am so content with that and have been so for so long that I take it for granted, like air to breathe. I forget how difficult life was prior to meeting him.
